Batavia, N.Y. February 16, 2003

The Big East Snocross Tour blew into Batavia, NY today accompanied by near record cold and an eager group of race fans.

The Genesee County Fairgrounds provided a "bowl like" viewing area that was fan friendly in spite of the brutal wind chill.

One of the days race highlights was the return of Doug Bellinger (527 SD) to the Vet Pro war.

The Vet Pro final was an open and shut case for Bellinger (a.k.a. Notorious B.A.D.)  as a holeshot was converted into a clear run to the checkered.

Wade Clar (777 SD) lead a freight train behind Bellinger which included Sean Severance (644 POL) and points leader Bob Austin (133 CAT).

With two point paying races left and plenty of room for Bellinger to catch Austin, it appears that this battle for the Vet Pro season championship will continue to the last race.

The Vets promise to continue be one of the great racing dramas on the BEST tour.

Race on !!
